Variegated 30s Embroidery Thread Info.
Superb embroidery thread in a variegated range manufactured to a heavier weight than normally seen for embroidery machines. The thread runs perfectly in a slightly larger needle than usual and creates distinct stitch lines.
The variegated shades give a fabulous finished effect and ensure, that even though the thread itself acts as a decorative element, it can still blend well with the project's overall colour scheme. That said, using the range to create contrast can give amazing finished results - think of a lighter coloured background with one of the darker variegated options, think Satin Stitch for blocks of variegation, think decorative stitching applique and even free standing machine lace!
Moving away from embroidery the thread can be used as a Variegated General Purpose Sewing Thread option. Think of garments decoratively top stitched with this weight, it would add a colourful twist to any project!

Industrial Thread Standards
As with the vast majority of our thread range, we are able to guarantee this will run on all domestic sewing machines as it is manufactured for use on high speed industrial sewing machines.
Available in 9 shades.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the colours on the shade card, due to the limitations in reproducing colours on various monitors and settings there may be a slight variation.

Which Sewing Machine Needle?
The Schmetz Embroidery Needle is perfect for use with this thread. This specialist embroidery machine needle has a larger eye than standard options allowing it to handle heavier and/or textured decorative threads.
Alternatively if you are using the thread for more general purpose sewing (e.g. for garment top stitch), then we recommend opting for a Schmetz Top Stitch Needle which again has an eye specially designed to handle more voluminous threads such as the 30s Variegated.
