Our light-mid weight Viscose Jersey fabric with a lurex finish is the perfect choice for creating glamorous and comfortable garments with a hint of sparkle. Made from a blend of high-quality viscose, lurex & a touch of spandex the fabric is soft, stretchy & drapes beautifully.
With its shimmering finish, the jersey is perfect for creating party dresses, skirts, tops, and more that will make you stand out from the crowd. The light-mid weight makes it perfect for all seasons and occasions, while the softness & comfort of the fabric will make you want to wear it all day long.
The fabric also features a delicate metallic 'drop' adding to its finish.
The Fabric & Ordering
The fabric is priced per metre.
To order simply add metres to your basket - we will cut as one continuous length. There is a minimum quantity of 1m but then Half Metres are available by entering .5 (1.5 - one and a half metres) etc.

However here are some crucial items:
Needles - Stitch with Jersey Ballpoint Machine Needles. The ball of the needle parts the Jersey fibres rather than piercing them to help ensure the elastic quality remain intact.
Thread - Stitch with Empress 120s General Purpose Thread, this is a poly/cotton fibre. Alternatively, if you would prefer to work with a pure cotton option Empress 100% Cotton Thread will also stitch perfectly.
General Purpose Thread is included if you 'add a matching thread above'.
Interfacing - Vlieseline (Vilene) Stretch Interfacings are created especially for working with fabrics such as Jersey. They add a little more body to make sewing easier.
