Lightweight Mountmellick Embroidery Fabric. Densely woven with a mercerised finish and selected in conjunction with expert & tutor input, our specially sourced Mountmellick Fabric is 100% Cotton Sateen.
The fabric is purposely chosen to be just a fraction off 'stark white' to help ensure your pure white embroidery stitches stand clear.

Mountmellick Fabric - Lightweight
The lightest in the two Mountmellick Embroidery Fabrics. Accurate to the original fabric used when Mountmellick embroidery was first pioneered - thought to be within the 1816 - 1825 period. While absolute certainty is difficult, it is often thought that Margaret Beale & Joanna Carter were the creators and pioneers.
We are delighted to have developed the Empress Mountmellick Embroidery Range over a number of years drawing on expert advice and input along every step of the process.
