A Few Zip Tips
While the Empress Zip Range is of the highest quality we are pleased to provide some useful tips on how best to care for your zipper once it is installed in a garment.
Wash with the zip fastener closed - this helps maintain the integrity of the zip so it handles the forces experienced in washing much better.
When Ironing ensure the Zip Fastener is closed and with an iron temperature of less than 130°C.
Recommended Thread
Stitch with 75s Thread Plus - an ideal and superb thread for sewing all mid-weight fabrics, garments.
For stitching heavier weight fabrics such as leather or canvas the Extra Heavy 36s Polycore Thread would be ideal.
