We hope your Christmas preparations are coming along well. As usual, due to the volume of parcels that the Royal Mail and our Carriers are transporting, there is some Christmas disruption to normal delivery services and times.
Please find below service updates for each day on the run up to the festive period. Please note the information below complements existing delivery advice found on our Shipping & Delivery Page.
While Royal Mail are stating the below timings for pre Christmas delivery of 1st & 2nd class options, as of the 03.12.18, we would advise the guaranteed Next Day selection if you are in desperate need of your parcel as Royal Mail can sometimes operate more slowly than stated.
The date refers to the date your order is placed.
17/12/18 | Normal services available up to & including this date.
18/12/18 | To receive orders pre Christmas please select First Class at checkout and order before 12.00. This may be delivered up to the 24.12.18.
19/12/15 | Orders after 12.00 may not be delivered pre Christmas.
20/12/18 | To receive pre Christmas please select Next Day at checkout (delivery will be 21st or 22nd or 24th December).
20/12/1 5 | First & Second Class options may be delivered before Christmas but are not guaranteed.
21/12/18 | Orders can no longer be guaranteed pre Christmas. If Next Day is selected the order may be delivered 27/12/18 or 28/12/18 – however this is not guaranteed and may arrive in the New Year. Please call us 01282 863181 for something urgent and we will try to help.
21/12/18 | 17.00 (5pm) Empress closes for the Festive period.
23/12/15 | All orders placed after this time will be processed in date order of receipt when we re-open on the 02/01/19.
23/12/15 | Orders with a Next Day delivery request which are received in the festive holiday period (21/12/18 at 17.00 to 02/01/19 at 09.00) will be despatched asap on either 03/01/19, 04/01/19 or 05/01/19.
02/01/19 | Empress re-opens after the Festive break. Orders handled in date order of receipt. Please see above for full info.
International | Please note orders for delivery off the UK Mainland cannot be guaranteed before January 2018 if ordered after the 07.12.18.
