Christine Driver

Christine worked in the textile industry since the early 1970s when she was involved in the manufacturing of industrial threads and yarns. This has given her a sound knowledge in the technical side of threads and their production, allowing her to identify suitable threads for varying purposes. Chances are if you ring the Centre with an unusual thread requirement you will be passed to Christine.

When the textile industry in the UK shrank, Christine had the opportunity to develop the more creative side of the business. She has been the driving force behind the Centre including workshops, mail order, promotion of natural threads like pure silk and linens, attendance at national shows, specialist fabrics & vilenes.

Although retirement age looms it is a taboo subject - she is enjoying herself too much!! 		Christine Driver
